The AIRE Kayak Lynx II Inflatable Kayaks weighs 43 pounds, and comes in yellow, orange, red, blue, dark green, and sometimes purple. Any accessories purchased with your boat are 10% off, but our shopping cart does NOT reflect these discounts – it will show a higher total so we will adjust the bottom line before ringing the transaction through.
AIRE Kayak Lynx II Inflatable Kayaks Payload
Like most AIRE tandems the Lynx II has a great payload capacity, handling over 450 pounds. Many years back AIRE totally redesigned the Lynx II. It is no longer symmetrical for one thing. The front end rises a full 19″, four inches more than the rear. The rear end still looks like the older models but the front end starts tapering further back giving it the appearance of a skinny high-rockered raft. The bigger design change was that AIRE widened the boat almost four inches, and decreased the waterline with the extra kick. The boat looks more streamlined than ever but some of AIRE’s other models are actually a bit faster. Generally making a boat’s footprint shorter and wider at the same time will never speed the boat up. The wider hull means it’s more stable; more stable means less chasing of clients down the river if you are a commercial livery opertation, and less flips for private boaters. At least that’s the theory. One problem though is that the super wide Lynx II interior makes it impossible to lock your hips in well, unless you are pretty husky. If you like a snugger fit, the Outfitter II model has had 100% rave reviews You can find it in this section of our site right next to the Lynx II.
AIRE also says the newer AIRE Kayak Lynx II Inflatable Kayaks punch waves better but they really tend to ride up over them more. There is a stretched out multi-purpose version of the Lynx II known as the “SuperLynx” under our touring section, and that boat is still a sleek 35″ wide and will definitely blow the doors off the Lynx II in a race. The current Lynx series all have nice bow and stern lift handles and bigger, and more secure bras as well.
Warranty for AIRE Lynx II Inflatable Kayaks10-year all-inclusive NO FAULT guarantee; 24 loops for gear/seat tie-down, and a very nice patch kit is included
