Action Days for Clean Water and Rivers April 27-29
American Rivers and River Network are partnering to organize Action Days for Clean Water and Rivers April 27-29. Action Days for Clean Water and Rivers is your opportunity to join with fellow advocates to meet virtually with members of Congress and ask them to support policies that will ensure clean water and healthy rivers for all communities.
The time is now to make our voices heard. With a new administration and congressional leadership in Washington, D.C. ready to make faster progress on equity, justice, climate change, and economic recovery, we must let them know how these issues intersect with the need to invest in clean water and healthy rivers in our communities and ask them to act.
Anyone who is passionate about clean water and healthy rivers is encouraged and welcome to participate. No experience necessary! If you have never spoken to a member of Congress, or if you are a seasoned advocate, all are welcome.
The team from American Rivers and River Network will work with you, and others from your state and congressional district, to schedule virtual meetings with your members of Congress.
We will also provide a virtual training session, materials, talking points, and current information on relevant legislation to help you prepare and confidently ask your members of Congress to do all they can to ensure clean water and healthy rivers for your community.
We will kick off Action Days for Clean Water and Rivers with an exciting virtual event featuring guest speakers including Senator Martin Heinrich, Representative Rashida Tlaib and Lynn Broaddus, Water Environment Federation President along with Nicole Silk, River Network’s President and Tom Kiernan, American Rivers’ new President and CEO.
REGISTER TODAY! Space is limited.
