The Clean Water Act has been critical in cleaning up our nation’s waterways; however, confusing Supreme Court decisions have left more than half of U.S. stream and 20 million acres of wetlands vulnerable to toxic dumping and pollution. These important streams, wetlands, tributaries, and headwaters impact the drinking water of over 117 million Americans, support businesses and recreation, and are crucial habitat for wildlife.

Fortunately, the Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers have proposed new, scientifically-sound safeguards to restore vital protections to our nation’s waterways. Of course, big polluters and special interests are doing all they can to halt this rule.

We can’t let the big polluters win. All Americans deserve access to clean water that is fishable, swimmable, and drinkable. Tell the EPA and the Army Corps to finalize strong, commonsense safeguards for our waterways today. When you fill out your information here, we will not only deliver your message to the EPA and Army Corps to let them know you have their backs, but we’ll also send a copy to your members of Congress to make sure they oppose any legislative attacks that come up on this critical rule.
